Hey there friends!

I'm Jenn, and I'm a nurse and photographer...

I specialize in shooting food, portraits of all types - including intimate, and documentary photography. Oh, and did I mention my slight obsession with capturing the perfect sunrise over water?

In my spare time, you can find me hyperfixating on some new skill and planning out my life one quarter at a time, always striving for self-improvement, personal growth, and another quad espresso.

About Me

From a young age, I've been drawn to the magic of photography and the way it captures memories that last a lifetime. but my passion ignited in 2007 when I bought my first DSLR camera from Micro Center in Cambridge. Even though I had no idea how to use it, I was determined to learn and improve my skills. Although I never fully learned how to use that camera outside of auto mode, it sparked a lifelong love for capturing beautiful and intimate moments.

In 2017, I started exploring the idea of a recipe blog and got a new camera to start taking pictures of food. My pictures sucked so bad, but I gradually became more confident and started experimenting with portrait, boudoir, and other types of photography. That's when I discovered my true love: taking pictures of everyday places and things, and discovering the hidden beauty that can be found in the world around us. I'm particularly drawn to the beach, but recently I've been exploring the desert and mountains, and I'm excited to continue my photography journey and capture these beautiful landscapes in 2023.

As a portrait photographer, I specialize in capturing the true essence of my clients' personalities and unique characteristics. Whether it's a professional headshot, an intimate boudoir session, or a fashion shoot that showcases your personal style, my goal is to create timeless and authentic portraits that reflect the true you. I believe that personality guides perception, and through getting to know my clients, we can create the perfect shot together.

In food photography, I aim to showcase the beauty and artistry of culinary creations. From delectable dishes at restaurants to behind-the-scenes shots in the kitchen, I believe that food has the power to bring people together and create memorable experiences. I take pride in creating images that make you go "mmmmm," and I'm always seeking to showcase the passion and creativity of chefs and their teams.

My documentary-style photography is inspired by real-life stories and moments. I enjoy capturing the energy and excitement of events, as well as the everyday beauty of life. Whether it's a travel adventure, a street scene, or an event, I'm always looking for opportunities to document the world around me. I take pride in my ability to tell stories through my images and create a visual narrative that captures the essence of the moment.

When I'm not behind the camera, I work as a nurse, which has taught me the importance of empathy, communication, and attention to detail. My background in nursing has also given me an acute sense of observation, which I use to capture the nuances and emotions of my subjects. I'm a lifelong learner, constantly seeking to expand my skills and perspectives.

I'm also passionate about personal growth and self-discovery. Through my self-portrait project leading up to my 40th birthday, I'm deepening my relationship with self using photography as a tool for self-expression and self-discovery. I'm excited to help my clients explore their own personal journeys through my work.

“Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish — a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow — to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whisky, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested… Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll.” H.S.Thompson
